My honest Ninja appliances review: the three that changed my kitchen
After months of daily use — what I actually think, plus three recipes for each one.
I’ve gone through a lot of kitchen appliances. Most promised to simplify my mornings — and most ended up gathering dust. These three didn’t. My home doubles as my studio, and I need a kitchen that works as hard as I do. Ninja ticks every box.

Finally, a coffee machine worth the counter space
The first thing I reach for every morning — before my laptop or my camera — is a good cup of coffee. Weight-based dosing, hands-free frothing, and a three-minute cold brew that is an absolute lifesaver on warm Phuket afternoons.

- 2espresso shots
- 150mloat milk
- 2 tbspbrown sugar syrup
- 1 pinchcinnamon
- 6ice cubes
- Pull espresso over ice in a tall glass
- Froth oat milk using hands-free frother
- Stir syrup and cinnamon into espresso
- Pour oat milk over and serve
- 2espresso shots
- 200mlfull-fat coconut milk
- 1 tspvanilla extract
- 1 tbsphoney
- ½ tspcardamom
- Warm coconut milk with vanilla, honey & cardamom
- Froth until velvety
- Pull espresso into mugs, pour foam over
- 1 cupcold brew concentrate

Real BBQ flavour, no drama

I was skeptical about whether an electric grill could deliver genuine smoky flavour. Having used the Woodfire Grill for several months, I’m a total convert. Real wood pellets, three functions in one, completely reliable through tropical weather.

- 3garlic cloves, minced
- 2lemongrass stalks
- 3 tbspsoy sauce
- 2 tbspsesame oil + 1 tbsp honey
- 1lime, juiced
- Marinate chicken in all aromatics 30 min
- Thread onto soaked wooden skewers
- Preheat Woodfire Grill with wood pellets
- Grill 10–12 min, turning halfway
- Rest 2 min, serve with lime wedges
- 2courgettes, sliced
- 2red capsicums
- 1eggplant, in rounds
- 200gcherry tomatoes
- 3 tbspolive oil + spices
- 200ghummus to serve
- Toss veg in oil, paprika, oregano, salt
- Smoke mode, apple/cherry pellets, 5 min preheat
- Grill in batches 8–10 min, turning once
- Serve over hummus with olive oil
- 2salmon fillets, skin on
- 2 tbspsoy sauce + 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tspfresh ginger, grated
- 1garlic clove, minced
- sesame seeds + spring onion
- Mix glaze, coat salmon, rest 10 min
- Preheat Air Fry at 200°C for 3 min
- Air fry skin-down 10–12 min
